The Bay District School System is committed to educational excellence, and is making great strides in becoming a national leader in education. In 2011, the Florida Department of Education ranked Bay District Schools in the top 1/3 of all public school districts in Florida, ranking 26th overall out of 67 districts in the state. Our district is serving approximately 26,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Two colleges also reside in Bay County–Gulf Coast State College and Florida State University-PC.
